HOW TO ADD POWER TO THE SHOT IN FUTSAL

 

How do you hit the ball hard? What is the right technique for completing a powerful shot?

1) Start by approaching the ball at a slight angle

2) Stretch out one of your arms to add more balance

3) Your supporting foot should come right next to the ball - about 6 inches away

4) Lock your ankles

5) Toes of the shooting foot are pointing down

6) The knee of the shooting foot should be over the ball before the shot

7) Bring your chest forward at the moment of the shot.

To make the shot even harder, after the shot you must land first on the shooting leg. This would be the result of the using the whole body mass to power the ball.

Bonus advice: 

Hit the ball right into the middle, so the shot is not only powerful, but also - accurate. When you swing your shooting foot (before actually kicking the ball),

don’t bring your shooting leg back too much. Try to loosen your upper body mass a bit before taking the shot.

Remember:

Practice the whole movement without the ball first. If you do it right, then after the shot you should always land on your shooting foot first.

P.S. You can practice squats in order to give your muscles more power, if you want. But if you perform the kick technically perfect, you don't even need big leg muscles for powerful shot.
