FUTSAL MANAGEMENT:

PRESEASON FOR A FUTSAL TEAM

Preseason is a period excitement. Everyone is coming together. Everyone is well rested – good to go. This is a chance to meet old friends etc. The atmosphere is positive. Team staff, players and supporters have a lot of new optimistic expectations about new season.

Although this is a positive moment for a team, it should not be forgotten, that a preseason is also very demanding. It usually consists of 2-3 week long training session series. During those training sessions a coach has to:

[1] Get his team to a better fitness level;

[2] Make sure, that players combine well on the pitch;

[3] Arrange some friendly games, so a team is tested in real match conditions etc.

The best way to prepare for a new season is to have a preseason outside of the city. A best solution is a training camp in the area with good nature – a lot of woods, green grass and water. This will create positive atmosphere within a team. This kind of environment creates a lot of energy for players, because they have all the fresh air and water to refresh themselves after training sessions. Such environment will also stimulate a healthy sleep; which is one of the key elements of both physical and mental recovery.
